Lamine Yamal accused of hiring people with dwarfism at birthday party
An association believes that the dignity of people with disabilities has been violated and has initiated legal action.

BarcelonaLamine Yamal has ushered in his adult life with a coming-of-age party. The young Barça star, who turned 18 this Sunday, July 13, gathered his family for an intimate meal at the La Cúpula restaurant in Garraf on Saturday, featuring a personalized cake bearing his image. But the main event came in the evening, with a high-end private celebration, organized with the utmost secrecy. But it was a party that has been marked by controversy, as an association has reported that people with dwarfism were hired as entertainment.
The Association of People with Achondroplasia and Other Skeletal Dysplasias with Dwarfism (ADEE) believes the dignity of people with disabilities has been violated and has initiated legal action to safeguard their rights after they were used as entertainment. "It is absolutely unacceptable that, in the 21st century, people with dwarfism are still used simply as entertainment or entertainment at private parties. It is even more worrying that these incidents are linked to public figures like Lamine Yamal. Our dignity and our rights are not entertainment for anyone, under any circumstances," the statement reads.
A high-level party
At a private estate located in Olivella, also in the Garraf region, Lamine welcomed nearly 200 guests to a celebration that was postponed for an hour due to weather conditions, following the recommendations of Civil Protection. Among those attending were singer Bad Gyal, producer Bizarrap, and singers Ozuna and Quevedo, four important names in the current music scene, as well as teammates of the player, such as Pau Víctor, Pau Cubarsí, Marc Casadó, Raphinha, and Robert Lewandowski.
Lamine Yamal, who has already welcomed some rather famous gift, returned from vacation this Sunday. Coinciding with his birthday, the young Barça player showed up this morning at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper to undergo his preseason medical check-ups alongside his first-team teammates. And, if nothing goes wrong, he'll receive another gift this week, although it's a public secret: Lamine Yamal will wear Barça's number 10, along with a new multi-million-dollar contract.
