Seat confirms one of two battery plants will be built in Sagunto
The carmaker will mobilise €7bn
BarcelonaMartorell-based Seat has confirmed this Wednesday that one of the two battery plants that will be set up in Spain will be built in Sagunto, a traditionally industrial town located in the Valencia region. The factory will be run by the Volkswagen group, and specifically by Seat.
The company has also confirmed that it will seek Perte European funds and that it intends to mobilise an investment of up to €7bn for this plant, where work will begin this year. This was explained this morning by Seat's Chairman of the Board of Directors, Thomas Schmall.
