Major power companies are asking to participate in the Spanish government's commission of inquiry into the blackout.

Aelec, whose electricity association includes Endesa, Iberdrola, and EDP Spain, will request to be included in the Spanish government's crisis committee investigating the April 28 power outage, the organization announced Monday.
