Ministry of Economy approves the absorption of Bankia by CaixaBank

The Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation has approved the merger of CaixaBank and Bankia, after receiving all the favourable reports, the last one from Competition which sets the conditions to be met. The State will be the second biggest shareholder of the new bank, with 16.1%.
