Conte resigns and the future of Italy is in President Matarella's hands

Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte formalised his resignation today after the government crisis caused by the departure of Matteo Renzi's party. The president, Sergio Mattarella, is now starting to talk with the parties to find a new coalition or call elections.
