Antoni Bassas' analysis: "Mazón and Moreno Bonilla: Indecency in the Presidency"

Europe, Gaza and Israel woke up this morning to the news that "Israel and Hamas have approved the first phase of the peace plan."As a result, "all hostages will be released very soon, and Israel will withdraw its troops to an agreed-upon line as a first step toward a firm and lasting peace."
These words are from the man who has been key in forcing an agreement between Hamas and Israel, who is none other than Donald Trump, who posted this on social media early this morning. Netanyahu said that "it's a great day for Israel," because they will return the hostages alive and the bodies of the deceased, and, in fact, this morning there were images of celebration in the streets of Israel. Hamas is also celebrating the end of the bombing of Gaza and the Israeli army's withdrawal, because the smoke from the Israeli bombs was still visible this morning.
What made the agreement possible? The will of the United States, that of Donald Trump: for two years he has supplied bombs and weapons to Israel to raze Gaza, but now he'd had enough, especially after a key event: exactly one month ago today, on September 9, Israel attacked the negotiating team in Doha, Qatar. That day, Trump decided that Netanyahu had already achieved his political and military objectives and forced him to reach the agreement. There is great war fatigue in Israeli society, and what can we say about Palestine, with more than 60,000 dead, thousands of malnourished children, and Gaza turned into a rubble dump. And don't lose sight of one element: tomorrow the Nobel Peace Prize will be awarded, which Trump desperately covets. There are 338 nominees, and if the bookmakers are to be believed, Trump's chances of winning are approximately 3%.
One final note on the subject: calling it "peace" is an exaggeration. This is a cessation of hostilities. The chances of the second phase of the plan not being signed are high because there are always interests trying to derail it. But this is better than nothing.
Regarding the general policy debate in Parliament, today is the last day. What we told you yesterday still holds true: the announcement of the 200,000 apartments is very good, but where Illa and Sánchez are putting their future at stake is with the agreement on the financing system for Catalonia. The government says that an agreement with the Spanish government is getting closer. It won't be long before we know whether that will be the case or not.
And finally, today is the New October Day, the Day of the Valencian Country, which commemorates the entry into the city of Valencia of the Catalan-Aragonese troops of King James I in 1238. The Diada takes place just a few days after the first anniversary of the Dana on October 29th of last year. Mazón, the main political leader responsible for the 229 deaths, remains president of the Valencian Community. An unworthy president, of course.
Like the Andalusian president, Moreno Bonilla.
Yesterday he came out with that face of a hurt and repentant lamb, to say that "it is incomprehensible that it was the affected people who had to report the problem. There is no excuse," and then has announced that the Andalusian Health Minister had resigned. Needless to say, he forced him to resign to save himself, as there are elections in Andalusia in nine months, and last night he had a demonstration at the gates of the presidency. But Moreno Bonilla is a Mazón. Not even a week ago, he was still standing up to them. Very much in the style now in vogue, of not admitting any mistakes and always wanting to be right. With the smugness we saw in other PP veterans like Zaplana, Moreno Bonilla said this last Friday:
"When a radiologist or specialist had doubts, they would put it on hold. And the woman wasn't told so as not to create uncertainty. Because 98% of the tests performed, fortunately, are not positive but negative: she doesn't have cancer. But when there's any possible hint of a patient, if they don't introduce a new patient, if they don't introduce a new patient, if they don't introduce a new element with the new patient, anxiety arises. Then it's decided not to tell the patient anything and they'll do subsequent tests.
Perfect, save the patient the anxiety, you'll already stun her when you tell her you saw it but didn't say anything so as not to distress her. This is Moreno Bonilla, the president who deducts his gym and pet expenses and who has now had to hastily hire 119 healthcare workers to work weekends and holidays if necessary so that, within two months, all women affected by diagnostic delays have been able to undergo the necessary tests.
Mazón and Moreno Bonilla, indecency in the presidency.
Good morning.
