Antoni Bassas' analysis: "Junts colla, Sánchez resists"

Sánchez has managed to make his accusations about Israel cover everything up: the imprisonment of his deputy, Cerdán; the indictment of his brother and his wife; the difficulty in passing the budget; and the arms embargo in Israel. Sánchez's denunciation of the Palestinian tragedy is just, but the world doesn't end there, and he's being reminded of this by parties with which he has agreements, such as Esquerra and Junts, or those in the opposition, such as the PP.
This was seen today in the control sessionThe bewildered and overwhelmed Núñez Feijóo has come up with a new term to refer to the situation of Sánchez's government: "populist instability." But Sánchez has been skillful in his response:
Alberto Núñez Feijóo: "Do you already have a new smokescreen? Will you withdraw the Spanish teams from the Euroleague basketball team? Will you withdraw the Spanish national team from the World Cup? Do you think the Spanish people can live with this populist instability? Thank you very much, Your Honor."
Pedro Sánchez: "In these seven years that I have been leading the Spanish government, there have been seven prime ministers in France, six prime ministers in Austria, five prime ministers in the United Kingdom. And when we talk about national politics, I am pleased to say that you are the third leader of the Popular Party."
In other words, my resistance is stability. And you had an absolute majority, but that did not prevent you from having a very serious "territorial crisis" in Catalonia. But beyond Sánchez's dialectical resources and the macro figures that support him (a 2.7% growth forecast for Spain next year), the reality is commuter rail, or housing, or the salaries of many workers who, despite having jobs, are still poor. Míriam Nogueras asked him about this during her turn to speak, leaving the question hanging at the end, in a warning tone, as to whether he believes he can govern like this.
Míriam Nogueras: "This is not the best economic period in history. This is the moment in history when they are sucking the most out of the pockets of the citizens of Catalonia. They are turning an entire generation into working poor. The question is: Mr. Sánchez, do you think you can continue governing?"
Pedro Sánchez: "We have the support of the Constitutional Court in the amnesty law. And we hope that the amnesty law can be applied to all those people who were involved in one way or another in the events of 2017. Your Honor, we have the maximum will to comply."
Juntos knows that the pending amnesty or Catalan in Europe are only possible with this Sánchez in the minority, and not with Feijóo and Abascal. That's what Sánchez is worth, until one day Junts breaks the rope. For now, it's not going to happen. Another thing is the clash between Junts and the Spanish left, with Podemos saying that transferring immigration powers to the Generalitat according to the Junts proposal is "racist." And that also affects Sánchez.
How it affects him that Yesterday, employers, unions, and the Catalan government signed a petition in favor of Catalonia collecting 100% of personal income tax., as Esquerra advocates, something the Spanish government and Vice President Montero are resisting.
We don't know if Puigdemont's prediction that things will happen this fall that have never happened before will come true, but it is clear that the chapters of this political season have a growing conflict.
Good morning.
