The historic leader of Galician nationalism Xosé Manuel Beiras Torrado, founder of Anova after his departure from the Galician Nationalist Bloc (BNG), has died at 90 years old, as confirmed to the Efe agency by sources close to him. In recent times, he still participated in cultural and political events, such as a tribute to Xosé Luis Méndez Ferrín and, as a member of the audience, at the Apostle's Proclamation, in support of the Palestinian people. Last spring he presented a book on the history of the Galician Socialist Party (PSG), a party he helped to create.
