On the eve of La Mercè in 1967, a light aircraft flying from Frankfurt to Nice crashed in the Italian Alps and its six occupants died. One was Harald Quandt, one of the richest men in Germany, who, curiously, had survived another plane crash only a couple of years earlier. In that first disaster, his light aircraft overturned the moment it was trying to take off from the Zurich airfield, in Switzerland, resulting in one death.
