      <title><![CDATA["The inclusion of people with disabilities begins when we stop taking for granted what they need"]]></title>

      <description><![CDATA[<p><img src="https://static1.ara.cat/clip/ec148139-9ed5-4e62-8965-3525f0d479ec_16-9-aspect-ratio_default_0.jpg" /></p><p>Georgina Domínguez (Sant Cugat del Vallès, 1999) began working with children and adolescents at risk of social exclusion in an open center in Barcelona, but soon realized that what really sparked her interest were people with special needs. First in Denmark, where she worked with two individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and later in Catalonia, she grasped that it is often society that is not adapted to different paces and ways of being: "There are many people who are invisible," she states. Her professional – and also personal – experience has led her to Aura Foundation, where she supports people with intellectual disabilities in the process of social and labor inclusion and, in parallel, works in residential units with these individuals to prepare them for independent living.</p>]]></description>
