Monte dei Paschi di Siena (MPS), the oldest bank in the world, has reappeared with all its strength in the struggle that the Italian banking sector is experiencing. After receiving the approval of its board of directors, the Tuscan entity presented this Friday an offer of 34 billion euros to buy the Italian banks BPM and Banca Generali.
