After a decade living away from home, one of the great names of local water polo returns to Catalonia. Albert Español (Barcelona, 1985) has traveled half the world thanks to this sport, from China to Italy. Now retired as a player, he will coach CN Sabadell. For the moment, he has already achieved a first success by overcoming the first phase of the Champions League in a very tough group played in Georgia. The great challenge for the team from Vallès is huge: to stand up to Atlètic Barceloneta, the European champion. Axel Corres's life (Barcelona, 2000) changed in August 2025. It was the first day of training for the CN Sabadell men's water polo squad, one of the League's best teams. Corres was starting his second season with the Vallesà team after a first year in which he had performed so well that he had been pre-selected to go to the Singapore World Cup. But in that first training session, he felt like he was suffocating. A few hours later, he was told he had testicular cancer, which would lead to eight months of fighting the disease and the removal of a kidney. A few days ago, he returned to training.
