Axel Corres's life (Barcelona, 2000) changed in August 2025. It was the first day of training for the CN Sabadell men's water polo squad, one of the League's best teams. Corres was starting his second season with the Vallesà team after a first year in which he had performed so well that he had been pre-selected to go to the Singapore World Cup. But in that first training session, he felt like he was suffocating. A few hours later, he was told he had testicular cancer, which would lead to eight months of fighting the disease and the removal of a kidney. A few days ago, he returned to training.
