The stratospheric professional leap of a Spanish executive has marked the week. Amparo Moraleda will be appointed president of the aeronautical giant Airbus next October, thus breaking with the Franco-German tradition that until now pursued the highest office in the European consortium. Changes are coming to the top of CaixaBank, which will be formalized at the bank's next general meeting. Amparo Moraleda, the bank's vice president, has resigned after 12 years on the board. In addition to the changes at CaixaBank, the board of trustees of the Barcelona Institute of Economics has added three leading figures from the Catalan economy and business world.
