Journalist Anna Guitart will be the new director of the Institut Ramon Llull. The position had been vacant since early November, when Pere Almeda's term as head of the institution ended. Guitart will serve a four-year term and her objective is to promote the international reach of the Catalan language and culture. The journalist, who until now has been a contributor to ARA Leemos, assumes the position after having been... curator of the Barcelona program at the Guadalajara Book Fairwhich took place at the end of November and beginning of December. Her work consisted of organizing the literary and cultural program of the event: from inviting writers and publishers to attend to launching two exhibitions and the numerous activities that took place around the fair.
