This Monday, the Mossos d'Esquadra (Catalan police) announced that 3,682 cases of missing persons were registered in Catalonia last year. More than half are resolved within three days of the report being filed, and two out of three missing persons are located before the end of the first week. Although the problem affects thousands of families every year, disappearances only represent 0.6% of all reports received by the Mossos d'Esquadra (Catalan police).
