Rising energy costs, European regulatory pressure, and the need to move towards more decarbonized models are forcing organizations to rethink how they consume energy and how they can reduce their environmental impact without compromising productivity. In this context, energy efficiency is emerging as a strategic tool: it allows for lower operating costs, improved production processes, and increased asset value, while also contributing to meeting climate commitments. European regulations are moving towards increasingly demanding standards, both for companies and buildings. A recent study by the international real estate consultancy JLL indicates that 44% of the office stock in Madrid and Barcelona is considered at risk of obsolescence, meaning that equipment is becoming outdated as a result of technological advancements. To avoid this, office assets in both areas need an investment of approximately €14.5 billion by 2030.
