The Poliorama Theatre celebrates 120 years of history on Barcelona's Rambla with a program that highlights names such as Emma Vilarasau, La Calòrica, T de Teatre and Chino Darín. Also taking part will be Jordi Boixaderas, Carles Sans, Roger Coma and Ginés García Millán. The new season also coincides with the 30 years of the theatre's management by Tres per 3, the union of the members of Dagoll Dagom, Tricicle and Anexa. The presentation event brought together Carles Sans, Paco Mir, Anna Rosa Cisquella and Toni Albaladejo, founders of Tres per 3, which incorporates Josep Domènech, from Bitò, and Anna Victori, current manager of the Poliorama. “We have gone through difficult moments, such as with the pandemic. There have also been tense political moments in the city, and here we are,” said Sans, who will premiere the monologue Per fi me'n vaig.

It has been a long time since they loved each other and now they have decided to take the step. T de Teatre and La Calòrica, two of the most relevant Catalan companies of the present, will join forces for a joint show that will premiere at the Teatre Poliorama on February 3, 2027. "From the beginning we have been admirers of La Calòrica. A year ago we proposed to get married and they said yes immediately," explains Àgata Roca, from T de Teatre. The union already has a creation underway titled Les dones Piñeiro, written by the "calòric" playwright playwright Joan Yago and directed by the also "calòric" playwright Israel Solà. "We have been fans of T de Teatre since we were very young, for us they have been a reference all our lives. It is a real luxury to be here," states Júlia Truyol, from La Calòrica, during a ceremony they organized at the Nau Bostik to formalize the union, with a popular sardine feast included.

It was after seeing The madman and the shirt, the flagship work of Nelson Valente (Buenos Aires, 1971), that T de Teatre decided to sign the Argentine playwright and director for their next show. "We saw that play and went crazy. We all shared the feeling that he was a director who could take us out of our comfort zones, put us in a cocktail shaker, and shake us up," explains actress Mamen Duch. "That text has brilliant dialogue that captivated us. Nelson's plays are ensemble pieces, but they touch on relatable themes; people can identify with them, and they have a humor that can be uncomfortable," adds Àgata Roca. In recent years, Valente's appearances on the Catalan stage have become increasingly frequent. Last season he premiered Amnesia at the Teatre Nacional and, in 2020, also worked with a Catalan company in The dogs...among other productions. That's why it made perfect sense that Valente's response to T de Teatre's request was affirmative.
