Sa nit i es dia, by Júlia Colom, is the winner of the first edition of the Marc Lloret Award for best song, which was presented this Friday at the Mercat de Música Viva de Vic. The award, promoted by the band Mishima and the Network of Music Festivals of Catalonia (Xàfec), bears the name of the man who was the keyboardist for the band Mishima, founder of the popArb festival and, for thirteen years, director of the Mercat de Música Viva. The award-winning song is included in the album Paradís (La Castanya, 2025) by the Majorcan singer.

Júlia Colom (Valldemossa, 1997) went in search of the melodies that were sung in the villages of Mallorca. From that search emerged Sempre dijous (Joan Porcel, 2020), award for best national documentary at the In-Edit Festival, and the foundation for the albums Miramar (2023) and Paradís (2025), best album of the year according to the critics of Enderrock.

Anyone who has heard her live already knows how striking Júlia Colom's (Valldemossa, 1997) musicality is. The album Miramar (2023) showcased an artist who celebrated her family roots and Mallorcan melodies with a vibrant, naturalness that felt anything but archaeological. She also added a contemporary pop perspective. Now, with a more cohesive sound that blends the ever-present lute with electronic elements (a magnificent production with Martin Leiton and Òscar Garrobe), she releases the album Paradise (La Castaña, 2025). He will present it live in Hall 3 of L'Auditori in Barcelona on December 11th.
