      <description><![CDATA[<p><img src="https://static1.ara.cat/clip/4d7c9470-702c-4aca-86d4-050e9981394e_16-9-aspect-ratio_default_0.jpg" /></p><p>Alejandra Palés, the series specialist, has set her sights on this concept called <em>yearning</em>, which would be – she explains herself <a href="https://en.ara.cat/media/it-s-not-sex-it-s-desire-why-has-yearning-become-fashionable-in-series-and-cinema_1_5646428.html">in an informative article in the newspaper</a>– the “longing” or “the slow and sustained building of desire over time.” He does this in relation to the adaptation of <em>Wuthering Heights</em> (I always feel so much like putting <em>Rufoles Peaks</em>...), by Emily Brontë. The trend is global. This Christmas, the bookseller at Parcir in Manresa told me, adaptations of classics (so beautiful, by the way, with hardcovers and gold lettering) have sold very well.</p>]]></description>

She graduated in English Philology and became interested in surveillance studies in modern literature. A Fulbright scholarship brought her to the United States in 2014. She currently teaches at Barnard College, Columbia University, a center for gender studies. Her thesis is titled: <em>Algorithmic love, reorganization of romantic love</em>.</p>]]></description>
