Let's just say that this "getaway" coincides with the publication of a 2011 email in which it's clear she wasn't distancing herself from Jeffrey Epstein, even after it was already known that he was a pedophile. It's worth mentioning that, a little further down in the newspaper, there's another story about this man's friends. Stephen Hawking, the astrophysicist, apparently also went to the infamous island of horrors and had (I can't quite imagine how) contact with minors.

Ferguson, 66, has not appeared in public since the christening of her granddaughter Athenea, held on December 12 at St. James's Palace. Reading Charles III of England's statement on his brother's arrest brings to mind Juan Carlos I referring to his son-in-law with that famous, hypocritical phrase, later disproven by reality: "Justice is equal for all." Perhaps from now on, justice will be a little more equal, because the arrest of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor is a pebble making waves in the global pond of the untouchables. This is because it calls into question the premise of its supposed moral exemplarity and transparency to the public. One more detail, however, is crucial to supporting this assertion: the strategy of distancing this black sheep of the family from the Crown has been extremely slow and calculated. It has always been in response to the events and accusations that began to surface about Andrew as early as 2010 and 2011. Buckingham Palace, first under Elizabeth II and now with Charles III as head of the family, has always acted reactively, not proactively. All of this allows us to legitimately think that a member of the royal family has ultimately been condemned to ostracism not because the monarchy acted out of ethical conviction, but out of an instinct for survival in the face of public pressure.

Andrew was questioned about alleged misconduct in public office for leaking confidential British government information to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. In a statement released shortly after 7:30 p.m. local time, Thames Valley Police reported that Mountbatten-Windsor remains under investigation. At this time, no formal charges have been filed against the brother of King Charles III. The criminal proceedings are ongoing as officers analyze evidence gathered during various searches conducted throughout the day. Police are now tasked with reviewing seized documents, obtaining further evidence if necessary, taking additional statements, and examining all available material before determining whether there is sufficient basis for charges. At this stage, investigators can also seek advice from the Crown Prosecution Service, the institution ultimately responsible for deciding whether criminal charges should be filed. The final decision could take weeks or even months, depending on the complexity of the case and the volume of material to be examined.

In a search of the former Spanish head of state within the more than 3.5 million declassified files by the United States Department of Justice about the pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, the name of Joan Carles appears on few occasions, at least under his identity or as King or King of Spain. So far, the most revealing message found by ARA refers more to Corinna Larsen, his ex-lover, than to the monarch himself. Epstein refers to her in a reply addressed to Olivier Colom, former diplomatic advisor to former French president Nicolas Sarkozy: "[...] He is trying to involve us in business in Russia. I have never met him, but he doesn't give me a good feeling." It is an email from 2013, one year before his abdication. Andreu, a black sheep of European royalty as much as Joan Carles –there are many more, as the mentioned archives demonstrate–, may end up, more or less, the same way as the Bourbon: seeking refuge in the Middle East with the aim of saving the British Crown from the shame of having him under its roof, just as the Zarzuela has saved itself from the emeritus after all the string of scandals that have tarnished him. This is the opinion of historian Andrew Lownie, author of the book Entitled: The rise and fall of the House of York [Authorized: rise and fall of the House of York], an unauthorized biography about the abuses and privileges of the third son of the late Queen Elizabeth II and brother of Charles III. "I don't think he will stay at Sandringham [a property of the King, in Norfolk, about 160 kilometers northeast of London]. I think he will spend time in the Middle East. Andrew does a lot of business in Bahrain and there are also links to Abu Dhabi and Qatar... He will travel there like his relative, King [Emeritus] Joan Carles I of Spain," he said this week, during a press briefing with members of the Foreign Press Association of London, which this correspondent attended. And he added: "It is likely that Andrew will go to a country without an extradition treaty. The last thing the royal family wants is a trial that brings their dirty laundry to light and undermines the monarchy. But if people took accountability seriously, he would be forced to testify before the House of Commons." A demand that some MPs are beginning to voice.

The opposition accused her of corruption, negligence, and of turning the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) into a political tool for President Donald Trump's vendetta. From now on, Andrew will no longer use the title of Prince and will be known simply as Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor. This completes Andrew's fall from grace following the Epstein case and his relationship with the convicted pedophile and American millionaire. He committed suicide in 2019 in a Manhattan jail While awaiting trial on charges of human trafficking. While the woman's account – written in collaboration with journalist Amy Wallace – does not add much new information to what was already known about the behavior of Elizabeth II's third son, it does delve into a wound that continues to bleed, and crudely exposes the lack of principles of a member of the royals and, in general, of the circle of power in which he moved.

Quite the opposite. In fact, Buckingham Palace admitted on Monday that "there could still be more painful days ahead" in relation to possible new revelations about the behavior of Elizabeth II's third son and brother of Charles III. So much so that some members of the House of Commons have called for the British Parliament to officially strip the prince of all his titles—including that of prince, to which he is entitled by birth—amid the growing controversy that the reports have been raising since last week. on the posthumous memoirs of Virginia Roberts Giuffre, one of the main accusers of American pedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein regarding the sexual abuse she suffered at the hands of him and also Andreu.

The former Duke of York agreed this Friday with King Charles III – an elegant way of saying that he was forced by the crown – to renounce all his royal titles, including that of the aforementioned Dukedom of York, after the "continued accusations" against him have become a distraction from the work of the royal family. The decision comes after a series of new scandals – or a continuation of those that have been dragging on for years – regarding the prince's relationship with Jeffrey Epstein, the deceased financier and pedophile, as well as his connection to an alleged Chinese espionage affair in the heart of Westminster.
