Director and playwright Albert Arribas will bring, for the first time, a text by writer Toni Sala to the theater. It is La paret de vidre (The Glass Wall), a chapter from the author from Sant Feliu's latest novel, Escenaris (L'Altra, 2025). Actress Mara Jiménez will star in the piece, which will be performed from January 19 to February 14 at the Heartbreak Hotel in Barcelona. "The whole book is written as if it were theater. This chapter is already an autonomous monologue, the best one from my point of view," explains Arribas. The text gives voice to one of the characters in the novel, Olga, during a late-night call with the novel's protagonist. According to Arribas, the monologue "is a cry of despair, very anti-humanist, about the fact of living in a system that does not allow us to get excited about anything".

Àlex Rigola wanted to recover the magic of A Midsummer Night's Dream which he premiered in a macro-production in Düsseldorf in 2014. The idea was to place a production with a large cast in a small room like the Heartbreak Hotel theatre. "When I think of Grec, I think of a festival, a party and, therefore, Grec should serve for special things to happen in the city's venues", argues Rigola, who was a candidate to direct the festival. With this maxim, he premieres a show that requires a special commitment from all participants, both interpretative and economic, because even filling the room doesn't make the numbers add up: twelve performers will perform throughout July on a stage for seventy seats (which are practically sold out).

Who killed my father? (More Books, 2019) is The third autobiographical novel by the young French writer Édouard Louis (Hallencourt, 1992). A trilogy that began with Farewell to Eddy Bellegueule –a great editorial success with which he became known–, published in Catalan by Més Llibres in 2015, in which he spoke about bullying, homophobia and the injustice he suffered for being gay, and which continues to be History of violence (Más Libros, 2018), where he portrayed the rape and attempted murder he suffered on Christmas 2012. Poverty, domestic and institutional violence, the marginalization of those who are different, and the lack of social justice are manifested in the three installments in various ways.
