The Boat Show has once again invaded Port Vell with yachts and sailboats looking for buyers, after being unable to take place last year due to the America's Cup. The enforced break has served to reformulate the event, with the aim of repositioning it internationally and attracting major brands, without forgetting to try to attract attendees willing to spend.

More super-sized boats than ever before, a new luxury dining area, and a clear objective: attracting major international buyers. These are the three elements that define the new direction taken by the Barcelona International Boat Show, which will be held from October 8 to 12 at Port Vell and—for the first year—also at the Barcelona docks. Organized by Fira de Barcelona in collaboration with the National Association of Nautical Companies (ANEN), the event reaches its 62nd edition with the participation of nearly 200 exhibitors and some 500 boats showcasing the latest developments in the sector, with a greater variety of models and lengths than ever before.

The Boat Show returns after the hiatus for the America's Cup, when the spaces available to watch the competition and the team bases prevented it from taking place. Following the forced break, the event is being redesigned this year to favor quality over quantity, aiming to gain ground and try to attract customers who have been holding back on purchasing this year.
