Music that can be read continues to find a place in bookstores. Throughout 2025, interesting essays, both controversial and necessary, have been published, along with well-documented and moving biographies, and more or less unexpected memoirs.

After The Year of the Monkey and ofSome kidsClub Editor publishes a new book by Patti Smith: The bread of angelsLike the others, this is a memoir, but unlike the others, this one is not dedicated to any specific period in the author's life; rather, it recounts her entire life. The title is a reference to "unpremeditated acts of kindness," but it comes from Psalm 78, which speaks of the food that falls from heaven and satisfies the Israelites. In the Psalm, however, after gorging themselves, they see how God takes the lives of all young men in an equally haphazard way. If it isn't, it seems like a premonition.

The Temporada Alta festival opens with a bang, with a double concert by Patti Smith, a living legend of American rock, at the Girona Auditorium. Two weeks before the beginning of the festival, Autumn theatre programming in the Girona regions, the 78-year-old singer reviewed the best songs of her career, coinciding with the 50th anniversary of her debut album, Horsas, one of the most influential in history.
