In the book of Exodus, XX, which along with Leviticus is the most full of rules, rituals and commandments in the Bible, we read some very brutal things, typical of this vengeful god who is Yahweh, and others, more peaceful, that are valid for almost all mono religions.

We have witnessed, incredulous, the accelerated transformation of the United States into an autocracy: the deployment of the classic playbook of repression, censorship, and information control; the weakening of institutional checks and balances on the power emanating from the Oval Office; and a struggle to impose Donald Trump's will on the courts, universities, and public administration. All this, in the first eight months of his term.

More than 110,000 people marched through central London on Saturday in the largest far-right demonstration the United Kingdom has seen in decades. The anti-immigration march, dubbed a "free speech festival," featured a surprise appearance by Elon Musk via video link to support Tommy Robinson, the controversial activist who organized the rally, accused of hate speech and deliberately spreading false content. The march and the speeches became a parade of conspiracy theories, racist rhetoric, and MAGA hats, and the constant reminder of political and social grievances, amplified from both sides of the Atlantic.

With the identity of the alleged killer now public, we must consider the attack that claimed the life of MAGA activist Charlie Kirk last Wednesday in Utah as a result of the hate speech he himself promoted. The shooter, Tyler Robinson, was someone mentally intoxicated by this kind of messaging, and the fact that he wrote "leftist" messages on his bullets means nothing, because confusion and tapping are part of the ways of doing and saying things of the juvenile far right (also in our country). Barricaded as he often does at the Oval Office desk, Trump tweeted: "For years, the radical left has compared wonderful Americans like Charlie Kirk to Nazis." And he blamed these evil leftists for the death of the wonderful Kirk.
