The Cupra brand sold 328,800 cars in 2025, 32.5% more than the previous year's 248,100 units. Seat, meanwhile, sold 257,400 units, 17% less than the previous year. However, the combined sales of the two Seat group brands reached a record high: 586,300 cars sold, 5.1% more than in 2024, when sales were 558,200, surpassing the previous record of 574,000 units set in the second year of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Sales increased by 4.1 percent year-on-year in the first nine months, reaching 439,500 vehicles, and the company's revenue grew by 6.9 percent to €11.2 billion. Despite this growth, the company's operating profit plummeted by 96.2 percent, settling at just €16 million. Furthermore, the return on sales was a meager 0.1 percent, 3.8 percentage points lower than in the same period of the previous year. This profitability decline occurred even though the Cupra brand, which offers a higher profit margin than Seat, contributed more significantly to the increase in car sales. In fact, Cupra grew by 37%, reaching a record 245,300 units, while deliveries for the Seat brand fell by 20.1% to 194,200 units.

The event, attended by top representatives of the German consortium—including the German consortium's chief executive, Oliver Blume—began with the world premiere of the first two electric models to be manufactured in Baix Llobregat: the Cupra Raval and the Volkswagen ID Polo. This was followed by the presentation of cars from other group brands, such as those to be produced at the Volkswagen plant in Landaben (Navarra), two electric models also based on the group's compact urban platform: the Volkswagen ID Cross and the Skoda Epiq.

"[Leaving the US market] was a very tough but very mature decision," acknowledged the interim president of Seat and Cupra, Markus Haupt, in a meeting with journalists in Munich, although he was open to the possibility of returning to the market in the future. "We're not throwing in the towel," he added. However, the company's top executive has strengthened the brand's global focus, which is already present in fifty countries, and is already in talks to enter the Middle East, specifically Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
