      <description><![CDATA[<p><img src="https://static1.ara.cat/clip/1098b490-3876-41ca-a59d-6d68f9e8a805_16-9-aspect-ratio_default_0_x3124y1741.jpg" /></p><p>The Ministers of Culture from 160 countries who participated for three days in <a href="https://en.ara.cat/culture/what-are-150-culture-ministers-from-around-the-world-doing-in-barcelona_1_5508083.html" target="_blank">Mondiaculto 2025</a> In Barcelona, they signed a document that claims culture as an "integral part of human development" and, therefore, have committed to creating "safe and accessible" cultural spaces that foster dialogue, social cohesion, and a sense of belonging, and contribute to reducing "violence." The text calls for preserving and recognizing cultural and linguistic diversity: the languages of local communities, minorities, and vulnerable groups, and the languages of indigenous peoples and people of African descent.</p>]]></description>

They are coming to participate in Mondiacult 2025, UNESCO's World Conference on Cultural Policies and Sustainable Development, organized in conjunction with the Spanish Ministry of Culture. Barcelona takes its cue from Mexico, which organized Mondiacult 2022.</p>]]></description>

      <description><![CDATA[<p><img src="https://static1.ara.cat/clip/d97597b3-cb6a-4bea-9a84-98798b4b502c_16-9-aspect-ratio_default_0.jpg" /></p><p>Civic Agora, a new forum for debate and reflection on cultural policies within the framework of Mondiacult 2025, will be held from September 26 to October 1 and has scheduled around 100 activities with around 300 speakers. The event will bring together key international figures in the defense of cultural rights, such as UN Special Rapporteur Alexandra Xanthaki, who will open the event, and Patrice Meyer-Bisch, the driving force behind the Freiburg Declaration. Currently, there are around 800 registered participants out of a total of 1,000 places. Among the topics to be discussed are cultural rights, artificial intelligence, creativity, and linguistic diversity.</p>]]></description>
