When garbage is scattered at the foot of the bins, when trains run graffiti-covered, when drivers of all kinds act as if a red or green traffic light were a mere non-binding opinion, when investment is made for the first-day photo and we forget about maintenance, when the usual shops are replaced by businesses not aimed at residents but at passers-by, when people have to leave the neighborhood because they can no longer afford it, the knots that socially bind us come undone, because the primacy of the common interest has been replaced by the law of the jungle, and we feel insecure.

He then captured pro-independence voters and from left-wing parties, with dirt and insecurity as key issues. Two years later, the mayor is already influencing Catalan and Spanish politics with episodes related to security, immigration, and illegal employment, including clashes with the national government. The latest and most controversial, the eviction of B9Occupied by 400 people. Is Badalona a laboratory for the PP or a showcase? Has Albiol radicalized his discourse in a context of rising far-right extremism?

But in recent weeks, these cases have taken on a much more subtle, informative approach. Let's see, from Telecinco, reported that an arsonist who had started a fire had been released. They also interviewed the mother of one of the victims because the defense had requested the release of the perpetrator. They connected with the mayor of Sant Feliu de Guíxols to explain the problem of recidivism in the town. They have a group of thieves who have been arrested more than forty times and who are quickly released again, causing frustration among citizens and security forces. On Antena 3, in the summer version ofPublic mirror, also reported the release of a man accused of starting a fire. They also reported that during Semana Grande (Big Week) in Bilbao, ETA members with bloody crimes had been honored by hanging their T-shirts in the street. The program interviewed relatives of victims of terrorism to assess this gesture.
