Valencian architect Santiago Calatrava was robbed while waiting for a taxi. The incident occurred at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, when a man snatched a watch valued at around €100,000. It was on the Wooden Bridge, which crosses the Turia Gardens in Valencia. The robbery occurred while Calatrava was with his family, and one of the family members ran after the thief and managed to stop and detain him. At that moment, regional and local police officers arrived and arrested a 27-year-old man. A national police squad specializing in robberies is investigating the robbery.
