The 92,000 square meters of pavilions 3 and 5 at Fira Barcelona Gran Via are preparing to welcome attendees to Manga Barcelona from December 5th to 8th. This event has long been the second most popular cultural event in Barcelona – with over 167,000 people attending last year – second only to Primavera Sound. With Saturday and Sunday tickets sold out well in advance, it's likely that attendance records will be broken again this year. We highlight ten highlights from its program.

"These are dreams we have as a team," says Meritxell Puig, the general director of Ficomic, the organizing entity of Manga Barcelona, which this year will be held from December 5 to 8 at the Barcelona Gran Via Fair. Puig is referring to the programming of a concert never before seen in Europe: that of Seatbelts, who will perform on December 5 at Manga Barcelona alongside their leader and musical director, Yoko Kanno. The group will perform one of the most acclaimed soundtracks in the history of anime, that of Cowboy BebopThis is an exceptional event, the first time the band has performed outside of Japan. "It's something unique," Puig remarks.
