The rainy season affecting several areas of Aragon is being particularly felt in the Ribera Alta riverbank, near Zaragoza. In the municipality of Grisén, for example, the heavy rain caused a huge puddle—thirty meters long and two meters high—on a road, stranding several drivers yesterday. Firefighters have also been deployed to the area and are currently helping to extract water from basements and homes in Figueruelas, Fuentes de Ebro, Tarassona, and Eixea. Due to the downpours, the Military Emergency Unit (UME) has also been deployed to the area, focusing on cleanup efforts to help return to normality. The storm is also expected to affect Catalonia this Saturday.
