Barcelona's Administrative Court No. 3 has ordered a partial halt to construction work on the Agroparc project planned by the Catalan food and supermarket chain Ametller Origen in Gelida and Sant Llorenç d'Hortons (Alt Penedès). According to ACN, the judge's ruling indicates that the bulk of the work cannot begin until it is confirmed that the two bald eagles in the affected area can be relocated to a new habitat specifically designed as compensation.

The StopAgroparc platform, which brings together some 137 organizations, has filed an administrative appeal against the agropark project of the supermarket and food chain Ametller Origen in Alt Penedès. The organizations justify the lawsuit, directed against the Gelida City Council (Alt Penedès) and the Department of Territory of the Generalitat (Catalan Government), by considering the project "unlawful" and includes "serious environmental, urban planning, and procedural irregularities."
