Although Broggi didn't see it, he is very aware of the impact it had on Catalan culture. Starring Anna Lizaran, Muntsa Alcañiz, and Quim Lecina, that production became one of the foundational pieces of contemporary Catalan theater. "It was a very surprising show that remained in the collective memory and became an untouchable text. It hasn't been performed again; the memory it left was too important," explains Broggi. Undeterred by the weight of this precedent, the director of La Perla 29 has decided to revive Per Olov Enquist's (1934-2020) work in a new version with Cristina Arenas, Joan Marmaneu, Clara Mir, and Jordi Llovet. The Night of the Tribades It premieres on Friday, March 6th at the Teatre de Sarrià.

This year, she has not had one, but five, in the shows All birds (Library of Catalonia), The Bacchae (The Gleva), In Macbeth song (Library of Catalonia), Imaginary operetta (Free Arts Center) and Amnesia (TNC). Cisteró has become a discreet and constant presence in Catalan theater, an actress who is always precise, always excellent. Finally, all the spotlight is on them.

Brook's influence has permeated many of Broggi's works. Storm: not only in the material elements, such as the everlasting sand floor, the wooden canes, the details of the costumes, I would say also the choice of Babou Cham for the ethereal role of the spirit Ariel or the unleashed energy of the slave Caliban, but for the aesthetic textures and the cadence of the scenes, which kick off with a brilliant shipwreck scene that makes a virtue of extreme simplicity. Pure Brook.
