He looks back at the voracity with which the internet has consumed contemporary society and quotes Brave New World by Aldous Huxley (Labutxaca, translated by Ramon Folch and Camarasa) as the book that best predicted where humanity is headed. "I read it many years ago, maybe 40 or 45, but it stayed with me. Huxley wrote it in 1931, but if we haven't surpassed everything he imagined, we're almost there. We live in an uncontrollable world in which all values change very quickly," says Soler, who this summer released The storm, Shakespeare's, with The Pearl 29.

Brook's influence has permeated many of Broggi's works. Storm: not only in the material elements, such as the everlasting sand floor, the wooden canes, the details of the costumes, I would say also the choice of Babou Cham for the ethereal role of the spirit Ariel or the unleashed energy of the slave Caliban, but for the aesthetic textures and the cadence of the scenes, which kick off with a brilliant shipwreck scene that makes a virtue of extreme simplicity. Pure Brook.

The actor confesses to being "a lover of verse" and, for months, has been working to ensure that Shakespeare's final play remains deeply rooted in him before bringing it to life on stage, in the role of Prospero, under the direction of Oriol Broggi. The storm is La Perla 29's summer production, part of the Grec Festival and featuring nine actors on stage, including Clara de Ramon, Xavier Boada, and Babou Cham. The show premieres on June 25 at the Biblioteca Theater, where it will run until July 26.
