And, in fact, the actor chooses a book by this writer and playwright to recommend for the summer: Metamorphosis (Edhasa, 2023). "It's a complex and wonderful story, a-ma-ve-ll-ouse!" exclaims Folk, enthusiastic about this novel that takes place between Barcelona in 1937 and the present day. "It speaks of different generations with a series of conflicts that transcend time, of very turbulent family histories, with a perfume as a common thread. We have to discover why that perfume is the way it is, where it comes from, etc. It's fantastic how something so ethereal can end up resolving a conflict situation that has dragged on."

Riverola, with whom Folk I had already done tandem to #OpenDoors, took the proposal firmly. From that idea arose Carnations, a show starring Folk himself and Sílvia Marsó, which has toured theaters across Spain and now comes to Barcelona. It will run from June 25th to July 6th at the Teatre Goya, as part of the Grec Festival program.
