Girona has once again become the capital of Catalan music with the celebration of the XXVIII Enderrock Awards. The gala, presented with great ease by communicators Alba Riera and Andreu Juanola, has been, once again, a great showcase of the country's musical scene, with numerous live premieres and a review of the year's great milestones.

"We love traditional and popular Catalan songs," said Alondra at the album's premiere. The first song of the morning (Cerámicas Guzmán, 2025) at the Mediterranean Fair in Manresa. "And we love it when you sing them," he added. Alondra is Irene Romo and Giulietta Vidal, both born in Barcelona, ​​one in 2000 and the other in 2001. They share a project that combines traditional songbooks and sounds, such as The Lady of Aragon and Basket weaving ladybug, which in turn inspire a current songbook and sound. It all started a couple of years ago with the song On the edge of fire, which spread from Instagram. They then released the EP Oh lai the elm (2024), and now, on October 25, they present the new album in room 2 of L'Auditori with sold-out tickets (almost 600), and with a quartet format completed by bassist Xavi Pérez and guitarist Martí Escobedo.

The 28th edition of the Manresa Mediterranean Fair, which concludes this Sunday after three days of preliminary performances, was a successful and stimulating experience. Large audiences attended most of the shows, especially along the axis between Plaça Neus Català and Plaça Sant Domènec, with active audience participation in dance-based performances such as La Coixinera. The artistic level was very high. This was expected in the cases of established artists such as Sol Picó and Juan Carlos Lérida, La Venidera, and Cocanha. It was also surprising in emerging artists such as L'Arannà and Alosa, and in the presentation of projects recently launched by Obrador de Raíz, such as Unmarried by Magalí Sare and Bread by Anna Ferrer.

Summer is the time for big music festivals. During June, July and August, after the Primavera Sound, he DreamCabró Rock or Cruïlla, the round of mass musical events across the country begins, most with a lineup of more or less similar famous artists. However, outside this circuit, unique and alternative proposals are also emerging that firmly commit to a small-format model, away from giant stages and beer brand sponsorships. This is the case of Rizomes, at Cellera de Ter (Selva), a festival created by a group of Barcelona friends specializing in music management and architecture, who in 2018 devised a sustainable and environmentally conscious proposal. It is celebrated every summer solstice in a poplar forest, removed from the hustle and bustle of urban centers, in an atmosphere of seclusion, peace, and respect for nature. This year's edition, which will take place from June 20th to 22nd, will bring together around fifty artists, with notable names such as Alondra, Rita Payés, and Tarta Relena.
