The promise was quite explicit. in the concerts he gave last year to present the songs that have ended up on the album Love (Atlantic Records, 2026). Maria Arnal (Badalona, 1987) had extraordinary material in her hands to launch a new stage after ending her partnership with guitarist Marcel Bagés. All of this is also the result of diverse stage research with the dance company La Veronal (Death and Spring at the TNC and the film's soundtrack They will be dust, by Carlos Marques-Marcet, both with death as their central theme) and a long-term project with artificial intelligence applied to her voice (which originated from the fascinating collaboration with Holly Herndon at Sónar 2021There is also a palpable admiration for the organ's sound and an enthusiasm for the secular polyphony of madrigals, as well as a love for traditional folk music. And with this musical backdrop, she projects one of those forbidden gardens of memory: the death of her cousin from AIDS, a family story full of silences and contemporary with what Carla Simón recounts in her films. Summer 1993 (2017) and Pilgrimage (2025). The conceptual weight is powerful, but Maria Arnal's success lies in conveying it with lightness and poetic and musical sensuality, because often the best avant-garde is the one that doesn't seem like it.

Three. A moving finale by Maria Arnal, with the audience stunned by the choreography of La Veronal's dancers. The heartfelt intimacy of Edna Bravo before a baroque altarpiece. A crowd watching Ouineta sing while perched on a horse on the big night of pop. queer in the Sucre. The writer Tuli Márquez plays the rhapsodist in an anarcho-syndicalist musical, shouting "the revolution will be ours or it won't be, it will be from Gaza or it won't be." Biznaga unleashing impeccable and ferocious punk rock in front of the cathedral. The romanticism of Marco Mezquida and Lina. The poetic depth of folk music by Asturian singer-songwriter Lorena Álvarez... And above all, a city devoted to music, giving meaning to music, making music important for thinking, laughing, dancing, and marveling. All this and much more is part of the 37th edition of the Vic Live Music Market, which concludes this Sunday with a Mishima concert.

Rial, along with Jordi Casadesús and Rubén Pujol, won the competition to take charge of the strategic fair. The three detailed this Wednesday the program for the 37th edition of the MMVV, which will take place from September 17 to 21. It will open with a performance by Andalusian artist Rocío Márquez and will include some seventy concerts by The Ludwig Band, Maria Arnal, Mazoni, Sidonie, Maika Makovski, Hadas, Ferran Palau, Biznaga, Lorena Álvarez, Triquell, 31 Hunger and Ouineta, in addition to the premiere of Durruti, I love you, a musical by Guillem Caballero and writer Tuli Márquez about the anarchist leader Buenaventura Durruti (1896-1936).

The project with Marcel Bagés (memorable radish cosmic at the festival in 2022), Arnal has spent a few years researching, among other things, the expressive possibilities of artificial intelligence. In fact, she was recognized at the S+T+ARTS awards for the installation María CHOIR which was part ofexposure AI: artificial intelligence of the CCCB and in which he collaborated with scientists from the Barcelona Supercomputing Center. He has also changed representation agencies and now works with Live in Dallas, the same agency that manages artists and groups such as Rigoberta Bandini, La Élite, and gavina.mp3. Stretching the thread of vocal experimentation, he composed the soundtrack for the film They will be dust, and now finally presents a new show titled LoveSónar, open to premieres of this type, has lent the SonarHall to the film at a key time (8:45 p.m.) for its premiere, and the audience has filled it with enthusiasm and reverence.
