According to the Republican spokesperson, at the last Tarragona Ràdio board meeting, the PP, En Comú Podem, and former Vox councilor Javier Gómez asked that the station be held accountable for its inability to continue broadcasting its programming during the blackout. The power outage not only silenced Tarragona Radio, but also most other stations in the country. "We will remain steadfast in defending the manager of Tarragona Ràdio and reject his dismissal under the pretext of the blackout," Roig stated outside Tarragona City Council.
