Create a candidacy that "overflows" Compromís and includes Esquerra Unida, Podem and Sumar. This was the condition set by Mónica Oltra to return to the political front line and that her partners from Més —the coalition's sovereignist formation— have accepted, as the former vice-president of the Generalitat Valenciana's closest collaborators explained to ARA. Once the hurdle was overcome, the movements were unleashed and on Saturday Oltra announced that she accepted the offer to be the candidate for the Valencia City Council. A decision that confirmed her determination not to wait for her judicial situation to be resolved. Two questions to frame the debate. Does progressive sovereignty avoid discussing the management of migration flows and their impact on social cohesion, housing availability, or the marginalization of Catalan? Or, on the contrary, does conservative nationalism—intentionally or not—join in the criminalization of foreigners? A poll commissioned by Compromís places Vox as the leading party in the Valencian Community, with 24.4% of the vote and between 25 and 26 seats, and Compromís in second place, with 23.7% of the vote and also between 25 and 26 representatives. If this result were to materialize, it would mean that the far right would double its number of seats and the Valencian nationalists would gain between 10 and 11 seats. This idyllic memory of youth is held by Compromís MP Àgueda Micó (L'Olleria, 1978), who made headlines this week after announcing that she will leave the Sumar parliamentary group and join the mixed coalition.

The Más party, the pro-sovereignty wing within Compromís, has decided to stick to its guns and leave the Sumar parliamentary group in the Congress of Deputies and join the mixed group. This was confirmed by the results of the consultation held this Monday within the party's national council, which validated the strategy of the Valencian executive, which has been urging its members to take this step for weeks. The result of the vote was 190 votes in favor (92.68%), 8 abstentions (3.9%), and 7 votes against (3.41%). Turnout rose to 88.74%.

Compromís avoided breaking with Sumar this Monday after a grueling executive meeting convened to evaluate its continued presence in the parliamentary group following Yolanda Díaz's party's decision not to summon Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez to the upcoming commission of inquiry into the DANA (National Anti-Drug Defence Act) in the Congress of Deputies. Instead of leaving the group, the Valencianists are demanding a "reevaluation" of the pact with Sumar that guarantees "full autonomy" and maintains "bilateral" relations with the Spanish government.

The appointment of former President of the Valencian Parliament, Enric Morera, as a regional senator for Compromís has sparked a crisis within the Valencian coalition that threatens to damage, perhaps permanently, the always unstable relationship between the three parties that comprise it.
