This is a sadly unusual situation that the director of the show, Carlota Subirós, wanted to break. "It's the first time my son has seen this in the thirty years I've been working," says actress Vicenta Ndongo, pointing to the show's poster, with the photograph of Kathy Sey and Babou Cham. "We have a very whitewashed image of classical Greece. We have constructed the fallacy that Europe is white. It wasn't in its origin and it isn't today," Subirós adds.

This immersive show, with live music (some paragraphs from a doctoral thesis are even read to the rhythm of rap), recounts the investigation of a real case: that of Catalina Muñoz. Mother of four, she was 37 years old when the Francoists executed her at the beginning of the Civil War. Some neighbors had accused her of making proclamations in favor of the Republic, and her husband had fled after confronting Falangists. When she was murdered, she was carrying the rattle of her youngest son, Martín, who was nine months old at the time. When archaeologists exhumed her grave, in La Carcavilla Park (Palencia), they found the small toy along with some buttons and the soles of her rubber shoes.

At the top, a message asks the audience to write "a small moment of happiness" that can be read aloud. Teenagers from the Sunsi Móra Institute in Canet de Mar crowd around the table, pens at the ready and the infectious laughter of their age. "I have two. What did you write?" one of them asks. "I won't tell you, but it's obvious, girl. Write both!" the other replies. The students, perhaps more shy or perhaps less enthusiastic, watch them from afar, but every now and then one of them approaches the table and carries out the assigned task. But the passage of time only serves to magnify the exceptionality of this important figure in Catalan artistic heritage. Roseta Mauri was a poor girl from Reus "who ate pigeons for dinner" and who would end up becoming, with her talent and years of sacrifice, a unique case: the prima ballerina of the Paris Opera, an influential figure in the Parisian cultural scene at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries and the subject of paintings by the great Impressionist painters, especially Of Impressionist Painters.
