In December 2022 the ARA uncovered the allegations for sexual abuse against tenor Albert Deprius. Some cases had passed the statute of limitations, but two continued: one is awaiting trial, scheduled for December 2026; the second is in the Ninth Section of the Barcelona Provincial Court, awaiting a trial date. This second case involves a complaint of sexual assault against a minor between 2010 and 2014, when the girl was 14 years old and he was approaching 40. He was her teacher and the director of her school. As time has passed, and while the legal proceedings have progressed slowly, Deprius has resumed his activities and is once again conducting the Armonía Alta Segarra Choir and Symphony Orchestra. This past Sunday, January 18, he rented the Pineda de Mar Auditorium, and victims and feminist groups have expressed their discontent and rejection, which they have conveyed to the Maresme Town Council.

The procession is organized by the Poblenou brotherhood, linked to the neighborhood parish, which this year celebrates its fortieth anniversary, at a moment of maximum splendor: far from declining and losing followers, the brotherhood continues to grow, especially after the pandemic, and adds more than 300 members from all those participating in this festivity.
