These protests highlight a stark reality: the healthcare system is operating under constant tension between dedication, resilience, and precarious working conditions. Now, La 2 Cat offers us a way to explore this ecosystem through a docuseries. Local hospitalThe cameras access different healthcare centers in Catalonia and accompany doctors, nurses, maintenance staff, patients, and their families. The production is austere, but this lends it great narrative honesty.

It's the latest publicity stunt by the Valencian public broadcaster to discredit itself. The show premiered Friday night. The debate Asking herself, "Is feminism in crisis?" Obviously, Cantón couldn't care less about feminism. Rather, it fuels her anger, which was evident in the charade she staged. With her ego inflated before the cameras, she orchestrated a fallacy that only sought to discredit and ridicule feminism. The four panelists participated in this farce, because it's the typical program where you're invited to be used, not listened to. Cantón's cynicism became immediately apparent when, after her introduction, she wanted to make it clear that "this program will not deny violence against women." A very strange and biased preemptive strategy, which betrayed the deceptive nature of the debate's premise. They warned that they wouldn't deny the number of murdered women (of course not!) only to then proceed to attack feminism. In the midst of the chaotic show, with an equally manipulated audience, they staged a face-to-face debate featuring a commentator with sexist, ultraconservative, and xenophobic theories. They incorporated, via video link, the intervention of Juan Soto Ivars, who presented a book in which he claims that the official low rate of false accusations of gender-based violence is a lie and that the real statistics are higher, with many men falling victim to the abuse of a biased feminist system.

There are more than six thousand cans of film that were not used in the propaganda newsreel of the Franco regime, material discarded for various reasons. Therefore, this is not about resurrecting the most curious fragments of the newscast, nor about listening to the voice of Francoism, that of Matías Prats Cañete, grandfather of the lineage of journalists, narrating Franco's adventures and the scenes from the dictatorship.

Some have tried to interpret the Martian Chronicles by Xavier Sardà as a cult television and a good part of the puppets that were exploited as misunderstood stars of popular culture. Superstar, the series that Netflix has just released, pays tribute to this entire generation of the so-called freaks television series, trying to humanize them. Tamara and her mother, Margarita Seisdedos, are the backbone of the story, and the miseries of Leonardo Dantés, Paco Porras, Loly Álvarez, Tony Genil, and Arlequín are also recreated around them. Together, they created what has later been called tamarism, this media movement kitsch of somewhat marginal characters who managed to become part of the most successful television programs, despite the cruel media hostility surrounding them. Nacho Vigalondo, the creator, also participates as a supporting actor in the role of Joaquín Sardana. alter ego by Xavier Sardà, who presents a program titled Mars timeProduced by Los Javis (Calvo and Ambrossi), Superstar It fuses the television signature of all of them. On the one hand, the delirious tone, a kind of very personal, somewhat dreamlike magical realism that plays with Vigalondo's dramatic comedy and social criticism, and on the other, the veneration of pop culture, the need to redeem marginalized or different characters by providing them with an emotional narrative that emphasizes their story. Director Claudia Costafreda's influence is also evident in the emotional treatment and care for the characters.

The diaryThe reasonThis Sunday, the Spanish newspaper dedicates two full pages to an article by Jesús Palacios, in which he discusses Jesús Palacios's book about Franco. I suppose these figures, infatuated with dictatorial and authoritarian figures, already do it—end up looking in the mirror and kissing themselves. For those who don't know, we'll remember that Palacios, as a young man, was one of the founders of the neo-Nazi organization Cedade, and that, according to press clippings from the time, the names of José Antonio Primo de Rivera, Mussolini, and Hitler were cheered at that event. With these credentials, one might assume the media would avoid him; Spain is given a double-page spread so it can vent about the dictator's virtues.

The work of journalists, in the 21st century, perhaps should no longer consist of recording the words spoken by a power broker: social media allows them to address the audience without intermediaries. If we want to add value, we must decode them. If a businessman talks about downsizing, it's necessary to openly state that there will be layoffs, because downsizing is never upward. And if a politician talks about budgetary rigor, then it's time to explain that public service cuts are planned.

Since the episodes are independent, the level of satisfaction is uneven and depends largely on individual sensitivity to connect more with some stories than others. What remains intact is the ability to analyze the human condition in the face of digital progress. There are episodes full of hopelessness or even anguish, and some others, however, transport us to unusual possibilities that serve to delve deeper into the realm of emotions.
