Some of the most special summer nights in Judit Neddermann's life have been at Palomares beach, in her hometown, Vilassar de Mar, during the main festival. The most memorable night of all is celebrated at the end of June with a popular sardine feast. “There are embers and everyone makes their own sardines, you have the drizzle of oil, garlic and parsley, and there is also burnt rum. People eat sitting on the beach with towels and sarongs, there is a concert of habaneras and the night says goodbye with a fireworks display. Everyone is happy and with that incipient early summer tan,” details the singer, and confesses: “I try to go every year, but sometimes concerts come up and I can't. It's one of the few nights that if a concert comes up, I feel bad, because I regret missing it.” 

The Catalan capital is a fertile musical territory, embracing everything from Catalan folk melodies and flamenco to new Latin American influences. This mix fosters the emergence of new styles and artists. Singer Judit Neddermann (Vilassar de Mar, 1991) and guitarist Pau Figueres (Barcelona, ​​1989) have been sharing stages for many years, but until now they hadn't recorded an entire album alone. The result is Judit Neddermann & Pau Figueres (Música Global, 2025), an intimate album that brings together different traditions: from song to Brazilian music, with connections to American folk and diverse peninsular and Latin American folklore. They present it this week as a duo: on April 10 in Barcelona (La Paloma), on the 11th in Argentona (La Sala), and on the 12th at the Strenes Festival in Girona (Teatro Municipal).
