A new travel season is underway for the Institute for Older Persons and Social Services (Imserso). Travel marketing began this Monday in Catalonia, where pensioners can start booking their trips starting at 9 a.m.

The Ministry of Social Rights has begun processing a new tender for the Imserso travel program, and this year it includes two important new features: a flat rate of €50 for pensioners with lower benefits, and the possibility of traveling with pets for the first time, as reported by the ministry in a press release. Since this initiative was launched 40 years ago, more than 4.6 million people have participated.
