March is dance month: for three weeks, 90 dance performances will be presented in 12 locations across the metropolitan area, featuring world premieres, international guests, and the best of the local scene. The festival kicks off on March 6 in Hospitalet de Llobregat with TheyA community dance project featuring 70 people dancing in Plaça de la Cultura (8 pm) will kick off the festival, which will conclude with a public celebration in Parc de la Ciutadella on Sunday, March 22nd at noon. The program includes 177 performances, 73 of which are free and 27 are for families.

A father and daughter appear on stage to perform A beautiful day, a dance-theatre approach to the classic question of inheritance, the family imprint, the care of children until they grow up and of parents until they die. The unique feature here is that the performers are actually father and daughter: Piero and Alma Steiner intertwine reality and fiction in a show that contains nostalgia, sadness, and is a hymn to the joy of living.
