The president of the media group, Joseph Oughourlian, has initiated an internal regeneration process that kicked off with the appointment of Jaume Serra as General Manager of Radio and Audiovisual Business for Spain within the organization chart of Prisa Media, the group's media division. Serra was already part of this project – until now he held the position of Prisa Media representative in Catalonia – and will be one of the pillars of the new era led by Pilar Gil, who was appointed CEO of the media division this Tuesday.

The media group's chairman, Joseph Oughourlian, has secured the support of 99.52% of the possible votes for his management report at the shareholders' meeting held this Wednesday. The key to achieving this has a political interpretation: he has reversed his intention to reduce the number of directors in the group, a maneuver interpreted as an operation to gain control and exclude those who have been critical of his leadership. The origin of the split is Oughourlian's decision not to bid for the free-to-air television project that Pedro Sánchez's government is seeking to offer. Prisa's top executive considered it a dubious business, but the directors closest to the Moncloa government were pushing for the conglomerate to submit its bid.

The French weekly Le Point revealed this weekend that on February 12, within the framework of a summit on artificial intelligence in Paris, the Spanish Minister of Digital Transformation, Óscar López Águeda, and the new president of Telefónica, Marc Murtra, met with Arnaud de Puyfontaine, chairman of the board of directors of Vivendi, the media group controlled by the media group controlled by the media group controlled by the family. The objective: to get them to join the alternative majority that is helping to forge Pedro Sánchez's executive within the Spanish conglomerate, with the aim of forcing the replacement of its current president and chief executive, Joseph Oughourlian.
