In fact, it's not surprising that at that time mainstream brands were introducing small, sporty, convertible models. Opel manufactured a similar vehicle called the Speedster, Mazda the famous MX-5, and Seat dreamed of models like the Bolero or TangoBut what truly set the Volkswagen prototype apart was its engine, a rarity that would have made it a unicorn in the automotive world.

Now, unexpectedly and in complete secrecy, the Italian brand has decided to revive it to name its new sports car, which will officially be called the 849 Testarossa.

YangWang U9 Track Edition is the sportiest and most radical version of BYD's luxury subsidiary, a vehicle capable of beating the times of many Ferrari, Lamborghini, Bugatti or Porsche models on a track, to name a few of the illustrious names in the European automotive aristocracy.

Its powerful 2.0 VTEC gasoline engine with 330 hp and 420 Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed manual transmission and a front-wheel drive layout, is not designed to comply with European emissions limits. The current generation of the Civic (the sixth) has only been on the market for about three years, although the Civic is already a well-known vehicle, with more than 30 years of continuous presence in Europe, and has always stood out for its Type R sport versions, designed to compete with the two great European sports compacts, the Volkswagen Golf R and the Renault.

The spectacular Nissan GT-R stopped selling in Europe in 2022 due to the restrictive European regulations on noise pollution, which will mean that starting next year, no new vehicle will be able to exceed the 68 dB threshold if they want to be approved for European markets. This will force sports car manufacturers to look for new solutions to adjust the noise of their engines and exhaust pipes.

But the most interesting thing about this BMW M4 CS Edition VR46 is that it is not a unique model that only Rossi himself can enjoy, but will be manufactured in two design variants called Sport and Style, each limited to 46 units.
