A few weeks ago it was experienced at the Camp Nou with the men's derby and at Johan Cruyff in the match between the reserve teams, and this Wednesday (7 p.m.) the excitement moves to the Ciutat Esportiva Dani Jarque with the duel that will pit the two women's teams against each other. A match that takes on special relevance because the blaugranes could certify the League title at the home of their eternal rival. Pere Romeu's team depends on itself and will be champions if they beat Espanyol. In the minds of all culers and pericos is what happened three years ago, in 2023, at the RCDE Stadium, when an invasion forced the cancellation of the blaugranes' celebration on the pitch. Fortunately, the blanc-i-blaves already have their survival assured and the tension will be less than what was experienced that day at the RCDE.

A large crowd is expected to witness another impressive performance from Pere Romeu's team before they face Real Madrid three times in a week. The Blaugrana will visit the Alfredo Di Stéfano Stadium next Wednesday, April 25, for the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final (6:45 pm) and again on Sunday, April 29, for a league match (9 pm). Furthermore, on Thursday, April 2, Barça will return to the Camp Nou for the second leg of their Champions League tie (6:45 pm). Salma Paralluelo—who played left-back against Badalona last Wednesday and center forward this Saturday—started the Catalan victory with the first goal of the match after a through ball from Clara Serrajordi to Alexia Putellas bypassed two lines of pressure. The midfielder from Mollet del Vallès crossed the ball and Salma sent it into the back of the net to make it 1-0.

The defender from Mataró was the only registered first-team player – with the exception of goalkeepers Cata Coll and Gemma Font – who hadn't scored. Her goal came in the most unexpected way possible, after a cross that initially found no one and ended up going in, unlocking a match that was becoming increasingly difficult for Barça. This is what Ari Mingueza (Santa Perpetua de Mogoda, 2003) has learned after three years at Granada. The Catalan midfielder followed in the footsteps of her brother, Óscar Mingueza – who had swapped Barcelona for Vigo – and tried a new adventure in the First Division. "I left because I saw a huge bottleneck in the first team and I felt I had to leave Barça. Perhaps if I had stayed, the opportunity would have come here, because in the last two years they've had to let go of a lot of players from the youth academy, but I think everything happens for a reason and now I'm very happy," the player explains to ARA. But it was a decision in which Óscar played an important role. "I was afraid because I had never left home, I had been here all my life and it was very difficult for me to take the step. I talked to him and he told me that life wasn't over at Barça and that opening doors now could open more for me in the future," she recalls.

Barça's mascot, Cat, arrived wearing a superhero cape and mask, and Esmee Brugts dressed as a magician, providing two assists—one to Ewa Pajor and another to Claudia Pina—that helped give them an early lead against Eibar. Patri Guijarro, with a long-range shot, and Irene Paredes, with a header, completed another resounding victory for the Catalan side (4-0). Pere Romeu emphasized in the pre-match press conference the importance of taking an early lead. Barça followed their coach's instructions, and Ewa Pajor opened the scoring after a brilliant through ball from Esmee Brugts. The Dutch full-back had a good spell, also connecting with Claudia Pina for the second goal. Patri Guijarro didn't need any assistance, extending the lead with a shot from the edge of the box. The Balearic midfielder has also become the fifth player with the most appearances in Barça history (361). The Blaugrana came out determined to settle the match quickly after a week without any fixtures.

Their seventeenth win of the season. Pere Romeu's team – with a rotated squad – comfortably defeated a Sevilla side that barely crossed midfield (4-1). Kika Nazareth opened the scoring with a no-look shot, and Sydney Schertenleib, Salma Paralluelo, and Kika again completed the rout. Alexia Putellas, who came on in the 60th minute, was busy providing assists to help maintain the ten-point lead over Real Madrid before their visit to Los Blancos in the Copa de la Reina quarterfinals (Thursday at 9 pm, single-leg match). This wasn't the only gift from the captain to the fans at the Johan Cruyff Stadium. Barça supporters were also treated to a surprise: a handwritten letter from Alexia Putellas thanking the fans for their support. This initiative is part of the creation of the new brand for the footballer from Mollet del Vallès, in collaboration with Nike. The logo features a crown – she is known as the Queen – an eleven in honor of her jersey number, and an A, representing her name. The Barça captain continues to break records – not only on the field – and joins the ranks of athletes like Michael Jordan and Leo Messi, who also have their own clothing lines. She was, in fact, the one who presented the Spanish Super Cup trophy – which they won on January 24th in Castellón against Real Madrid – to the fans.

Pere Romeu's team secured a 2-0 victory away to Alhama ElPozo, maintaining a ten-point lead over second-placed Real Madrid. The Blaugrana dominated from start to finish, enjoying up to 90% possession, against a Murcia side that barely managed to get past the halfway line. Claudia Pina opened the scoring after a corner flicked on by Kika Nazareth at the far post.

Pere Romeu's team takes advantage of Real Madrid's defeat and now has a ten-point lead at the top of the table. The Blaugrana came out with a clear game plan, aware that they couldn't afford to slip up against the second-highest scoring team in the competition (Barça is the first). Goals from Alexia Putellas, Claudia Pina, Esmee Brugts, and Salma Paralluelo – who was returning to action after a three-month injury layoff – secured another three points in a match played early due to the Spanish Super Cup, which takes place from January 20th to 24th in Castellón. Barça will play their semifinal match against Athletic Club de Bilbao on Wednesday the 21st (7 pm).

Ewa Pajor opened the scoring, Claudia Pina unlocked the game with a work of art, Carla Julià capped off a great performance with her goal, and Vicky López and Esmee Brugts sealed the win against Badalona Women (1-5). The match was hampered by the poor condition of the pitch at Palamós, which prevented Barça from playing out from the back smoothly, resulting in several errors in their build-up play. Pajor opened the scoring for the sixth consecutive match, but a giveaway by Mapi León in her own area led to Lorena Navarro's equalizer. It was back to square one.

This problem forced Badalona Women (Levant Badalona last season) to travel to Palamós to play their matches. The work on the Badalona Municipal Stadium, which the club claims should have been completed this summer, has not begun, and the only solution to continue in the First Division has been to temporarily relocate the stadium.
