Jaecoo is one of the Chery Group's brands with the greatest potential in Europe. While Omoda is targeting a modern, urban customer profile, and Ebro is playing the local emotional card, Jaecoo aims to focus on the SUV buyer segment with off-road adventures and a family-oriented approach.

The offensive of Chinese brands in our market is unstoppable. About a year ago, on February 22, 2024, the Omoda brand, a Chinese manufacturer that launched its Omoda 5, was officially launched. It was a really important car for Catalonia because it began to be manufactured at the Nissan plant in Barcelona., along with others such as the vehicles of the reborn Ebro brand or the Jaecoo 7, which hit the market a little later (on September 17).

For some years now, Chinese brands have been landing in Europe. Unlike traditional manufacturers from the Old Continent and the United States, Chinese brands are relatively unknown in the West, so the large industrial conglomerates of the Asian giant have chosen to acquire names from traditional European manufacturers to revive them and revive the former splendor of their name, as in the case of the brand. On other occasions, however, Chinese brands propose new names with local reminiscences, as in the case of Ebro, or directly imported from China, as in the case of Omoda or BYD.
