But in the former Soviet republics its meaning evokes something else. As during communism, apartments were small and often shared, kuhinja It was the only space where people—and especially women—could speak without fear, share dissenting ideas, and support each other. A refuge where family stories, secrets, and worries were shared. Ukrainian Creative Radio, broadcast from Barcelona, recaptures that spirit, except here it's spoken out loud. This station, run by Ukrainian women in exile, has become a key community space for the diaspora in Barcelona: a kujinha where to take refuge and lean on.

There was cause for concern, since Trump began the day giving Benjamin Netanyahu the green light to break the ceasefire and resume savage bombing of Gaza, and now he's immersed in his own country in a crusade against the courts of justice. The result of that first conversation between the two was a minimal agreement that includes a 30-day truce in attacks on energy infrastructure and a prisoner exchange. We will have to see how the talks evolve in the coming days, supposedly to seek a total truce, but from the outset it is bad news that the world is hanging on the negotiations between two leaders with authoritarian tendencies like these.

Now it is no longer like that. Trump is with Putin and he is also against the EU. Because it must be clear that Trump and Vance have tried to humiliate Zelensky in the White House because they could not bear him telling them the truth about Putin (for example, that he never complies with ceasefires), but in reality, those who are humiliated by these images are in Europe, which once again sees how he is completely ignored.
